The crazed Professor Winston plans to conquer Earth, but when aliens from a distant planet threaten to beat him to it, Winston travels to their world to stop them.

well i beat the game, and its a big weight off my back. even if i feel inadequate for beating it on easy mode and level selecting to where i left off.

You're the first person I've heard from that's played it all the way through. Thanks for sticking with it!

also damn i never thought the final boss would have reality warping powers on the level of omega flowey

XD

how do i save?

It should be saving automatically at the start of each level.

well my save file is gone even after i quit to title on level 4 again

I'll look into it. For now here is the level select code. You input it on the title screen: up, x, down, x, left, left, right, right, up, x, down

damn, did this guy juice himself up with chems or did he get a scholarship for his biochemistry degree for playing basketball?

at first its fun, then the audio issues come in and the game gets too precise for its control scheme, i swear the game would be half as frustrating if the shooting was completely megaman instead of part castlevania

Thanks for the feedback! Can you describe the audio issues you had? Just out of curiosity, how far did you get? Thanks again.

i got to the fourth boss, in its level the audio was so out of sync that nothing seemed to make sense, but it synced up by the boss for some reason. i quit at the boss because it was so frustrating i couldn't beat it, i'm waiting for some sort of walkthrough or showcase of the ending as i forgot to save

I'll look into those audio issues. I'm assuming you were playing the web version? I think all the bosses are going to get nerfed eventually, especially that one. Thanks again!

sorry if this feels like a rant but the game design just gets ugly by stage 4, the first boss feels too hard for a first boss even if its still pretty beatable, and the amount of trial and error makes easy mode more like wow i can actually get past the third level mode

Is it just the boss that's too rough by level 4 or are there aspects of the level layout that you disliked?

(+1)

also, i think you could simply just give the bosses less hitpoints since the fire rate of your character is so slow especially when in midair, but otherwise aside from being a bit trial and errory they are fun and i like the ways you can get cheeky extra hits in

I think the bosses are definitely getting their hitpoints reduced. I'm glad you found it fun to discover when you can get extra shots in. That's one of my favorite parts about the bosses too (:

one thing that might make the game feel better is handling mid air attacks differently, perhaps x has a shot that sends you down and z has the shot that acts like a double jump, but both have no windup animations

Did you have any issues with the delayed double jump in places other than boss fights? Maybe the bosses need to be changed a bit to compensate for Winston's double jump?

it says to select a level with song two through seven, but i can't seem to find a sound test?

The code to get to it is hidden somewhere. If you keep doing what you just did in the other levels, you'll be on the right track ;)

damn, hard mode is sort of unfair with how lives are, or i suck

Try looking for walls that don't look quite right. That might help.
